November 1923

First official meeting of the Wesleyan Methodist Church.

1924

Woman’s Home and Foreign Missionary Society organized.

Fall 1926

The Indiana Conference is petitioned and Lafayette Schuyler Avenue Wesleyan Methodist Church becomes a station.

June 1931

First Daily Vacation Bible School held.

June 1937

Mortgage burning service held after being paid off.

November 1948

25th Anniversary of Church celebrated and dedication of Parsonage.

Spring 1950

Sanctuary lengthened and Sunday School rooms added.

November 1965

Fellowship Center dedicated.

1968

Lighted cross added to sanctuary.

August 1968

Schuyler Avenue Wesleyan Methodist Church became Schuyler Avenue Wesleyan Church after the Wesleyan Methodist and Pilgrim Holiness Churches merge into one denomination.

November 1972

50th Anniversary Celebration.

1980

New roof put on entire church and central air conditioning installed.

Mid 80’s

Interior of main auditorium completely renovated.

1993

Stained-glass windows added to office wing.

November 1998

75th Anniversary Celebration.
